Billy's Birthday Mission

I’m trying not to focus on news from Haiti since there’s so much out there already, but I have to recommend reading an emotional onsite account by Isabelle Jeanson who is with the Doctors Without Borders (aka MSF) team in Haiti.  The above photo is from her Twitter Twitpic account, which has many other photos.

Additionally, I highly recommend the interview from Boing Boing with MSF about the inflatable, plug-and-play hospitals MSF is using.

As for how today was for my mission, it was a great one.  We’ve had people step up for the photography offers from my friend (and roommate) Kevin Wong and my sister, Tiffany.  Kevin is shooting a full wedding for $1000! An amazing deal, which he has room for 1 more booking.  Both my sister and Kevin are offering 2 hour shoots for $100 for anything, weddings, engagement, pet, family photos, whatever you desire also!  A few people already have taken them up on these offers, so if you’re interested, please go to their websites and inquire ASAP. Huge thanks to them for sacrificing some income, as well as time and energy for my mission.

CALL FOR HELP: I am trying to reach out to everyone and anyone to promote my cause.  Please:

1. Post my website on your Facebook, blog, Twitter and even feel free to email it to friends and family.  This is definitely a group effort, so spreading the word helps me immensely.
2. Contact me if you know anyone in the media or with a big name that can help even just mention my website somewhere

A little more than $2,000 is needed to reach $10,000.  I’m going to need everyone’s help to get me there in these last 10 days!
